Expert Advisors

Expert Advisors is a tool for isolating and analysing the performance of specific trading strategies by grouping selected Magic Numbers from one or more accounts into a single named strategy. The result is a dedicated dashboard that shows only the trades belonging to that group — regardless of which accounts they came from.

What Is a Strategy Group

Every trade in MetaTrader is tagged with a Magic Number — a numeric identifier assigned by the Expert Advisor that placed it. When multiple EAs run on the same account, or the same EA runs across multiple accounts, Magic Numbers allow you to separate and attribute trades to specific strategies.

EA Groups let you select any combination of Magic Numbers from any of your connected accounts and treat them as a single unified strategy for analysis purposes.

Creating a Strategy

Click + New Group on the Expert Advisors page to open the creation form.

Strategy Name — a display name for the group (e.g. "Aurum Alpha V").

Description — optional notes about the strategy.

Account Sources — select one or more accounts to pull Magic Numbers from. For each added account:

• A list of all Magic Numbers found in that account's history is shown, along with the number of trades per Magic Number.
• Check the Magic Numbers you want to include in this strategy group.
• Set a Multiplier for that account to scale its monetary contribution — useful when the same strategy runs on accounts of different sizes.

Click Save Strategy to create the group.

Use Cases

Same EA across multiple accounts — if you run one Expert Advisor on several accounts with different balances, group its Magic Numbers from all accounts into one strategy. Use multipliers to normalise the account sizes and get a unified performance picture.

Multiple EAs on one account — if a single account runs several strategies simultaneously, create a separate group for each EA's Magic Number to analyse each strategy in isolation.

Custom strategy composition — combine Magic Numbers from different EAs or accounts into one group to analyse them as a blended strategy.

Strategy Dashboard

The Expert Advisors dashboard is structurally identical to the Account and Portfolio dashboards. All data displayed reflects only the trades belonging to the selected Magic Numbers.

Summary Cards show Net P&L, Win Rate, Profit Factor, Max Drawdown, and Sharpe Ratio for the strategy group.

Cumulative P&L Curve plots the running profit of the strategy over time. Individual Magic Number curves are shown as toggleable coloured lines at the bottom of the chart, allowing you to see the contribution of each Magic Number separately. The Custom Analysis button provides the same filtering options as the account dashboard.

The right-hand sidebar shows Performance metrics — Net P&L, Win Rate, Profit Factor, Sharpe Ratio, Avg Trade, Expectancy — and Risk metrics — Max DD, Gross Win, Gross Loss, Trades, Total Lots.

Advanced Statistics covers the full set of metrics: Trades, Win Rate, Profit Factor, Sharpe Ratio, Total Pips, Total Lots, Avg Win, Avg Loss, Best Trade, Worst Trade, Expectancy, Std Deviation, Z-Score, AHPR / GHPR, Longs Won, Shorts Won, Max Drawdown, Swap, Commission, and Net (Scaled) — which reflects the result after applying account multipliers.
